From July 25th to July 30th, the Prep Baseball Report staff will run thePBR Junior Future Gamesat the state-of-the-art LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Georgia.

The 10th AnnualInvitation-Onlyevent will feature the best identified 2027-2028 prospects from across the PBR Coverage Area in a five-day event at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA. Participants will be given the unique opportunity of competing against other top-level players while representing their respective state in a high-level atmosphere.

This event will run in conjunction with thePBR Future Games. TheFuture Gamesfeatures the top uncommitted players in the Class of 2025 and 2026 from across the Prep Baseball Report’s 40+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than300 college coachesfrom across the country each year.

This one-of-a-kind event will include individual workouts and a 4-game guarantee with single elimination bracket play to determine a champion in each age group.

+ OF Dante Matarese (Bishop Eustace, 2027) is an athletic 5-foot-11 160-pound right/left prospect that showed well at Tuesday's Junior Future Games workout. With a maximum exit velocity of 89 mph, Matarese projects to be a middle of the order impact bat.

+ MIF/RHP Nikash Patel (2027) shows some of the most projectable tools on the team. Wiry, athletic build at 6-feet 160-pounds, Patel possess whippyness to his bat path through the zone with a small leg lift and stride to start. Hands load back with rhythm and easiness, gap to gap juice, 89.4mph max EV. In the field, Patel's throws from across the diamond topped at 87 mph. Loose, whippy arm action, fields ball out front, twitchiness to game.

+ OF Ryan Hawken (Mahwah, 2027) showed some solid bat to ball skills during the showcase workout day. Crouched, wide stance. Hands close to head to start. Small foot lift to start swing. Hands load slightly up and back. Compact stroke through the zone. EV's topped at 87.7 mph with some line drive pop through the middle of the field.

+ OF/RHP Justin Kauffman (Ranney, 2027) impressed with his overall performance on the showcase workout. Advanced barrel awareness. Tall, balanced start, small load. Whip to the barrel through the zone. Stays in legs through finish.

+ OF/INF Jett Sevilla (Colts Neck, 2027) still has some filling out to do, but the skill foundation is present in his ability to find a barrel and work tough at bats. Tall setup, slightly opened stance, high hand load and line drive pop off the barrel. True utility man. Will contribute on the bump this week, too.

+ OF Curt Friedrich (Delbarton, 2027) put together a solid showing at the Junior Future Games workout, too. Simple, compact stroke through the zone with juice to the gaps, Friedrich has an athletic frame at 5-foot-7 155-pounds and packs a powerful stroke.
