Text Effect
This tutorial was written using PSP7.04.I recently returned from a wonderful vacation in sunny Florida. This is one of the photos I took. You can d/l my image here.2. Working on your duplicate image, right-click on the background layer, and choose duplicate. 3. Working on your Copy of Background layer, choose a large bold font, I used Hobo, size 100 or so. 4. Using the text tool, create as a selection, white as background colour, place your type in the middle of your image.
5. Invert the selection by pressing (shift/ctrl I). Hit the delete key. Now you have only your image-filled text on this layer. Invert the selection again back to it's original selection state. Keep it selected. 6. Add a drop shadow to the text as below. Deselect text (ctrl d).
7. Right click on your background layer. Promote to layer, so we can adjust the opacity. I lowered mine to about 70%. Merge all/flatten. That's all there is to it! Easy as pie :) Hope you enjoy it!
