A
"Real" Fuzzy KPT Bunny
Using
PSP7, KPT 5 Fiber Optix, Layers and Vectors
I have
made the sections if you'd rather not try your hand at vectors :)
** I've
also added my 2 bunnyfur presets to this zip below. Just place them in your
Plugin/KPT5/presets/fiberoptix folder. **
You can
download my pieces for the bunny here.
- Open a new,
transparent image, 400 X 600.
- On a new layer, draw
an elipse shape, as a vector, antialias checked, for the body of the
bunny. Use white as your foreground and background colours.
- Click on your object
selector tool, and "Node Edit" in the tool options, to do some
node editing. Push the bottom upward, and add nodes to make the shape
of the head and back, using ctrl/click on the outline, as below:
- Right click on the
outline, quit node editing.
- Right click in the
layer palette, on the vector layer, convert to raster. Turn down
opacity of this layer to 50%, so you can still partially see it.
- Now to draw the
ears. On a new layer, draw a small elipse. Using the same method
as above, node edit the elipse to create the shape of ear you'd like.
As below:
- Move your ear into
position, using the rotate while in vector mode. Convert this layer to
raster. You can draw another ear, or just use the first one, and
mirror it and move it into place on top of the bunny's head. Move this
layer under the body layer. I've adjusted the opacity of the layers,
so you can see where they are.
- Ok, now onto the
leg. On a new layer, draw another elipse and node edit it into the
shape of the leg, as below: You really just have to experiment with
the nodes and adjusting the arrows on both sides of the node. The more
you try it, the better the result. Convert it to a raster when it's
the shape you're aiming for.
- Now the arm. On
a new layer, draw an elipse again. Node edit again into the shape as
below: (My ear layers are turned off).
- And last, but
certainly not least, the tail :) On a new layer, draw another elipse,
and node edit it as below:
- Move it to behind the
body of the bunny and into position. Move all your bunny parts into
their proper place using the mover tool.
- Now to apply the
filter! The fun begins :) Make the body of the bunny the active
layer. Select/all/float, to make it selected. Use these settings
below. You can change the fiber color by clicking on it, I selected a
brown. I also used an interesting gradient. You can experiment with
them by clicking on the triangle in the upper right corner for presets in
the gradient window.
- Now leave only the
arm, leg and top ear visible in the layer palette. Merge
visible. Select all/float to get all 3 sections selected. Apply
the same KPT settings as the body. While selected, apply a slight drop
shadow.
- Now turn on only the
tail layer and the back ear layer, select all/float, and apply the KPT.
Add a drop shadow as above. Merge all visible. Here is what it
should now look like:
- Now, all that's left
is to add the eye and nose. You can draw your own or use my
tubes. Add a small drop shadow to each after you put them on.
(offsets of 2, 3, opacity 34 and blur 4.7).
- Merge all visible, If
you'd like to make it a tube, copy/paste as a new image, and resize. Now you
can export it as a tube.
- On your original
image, add a new layer to the bottom and flood fill with your choice of
background. Isn't she cute?
Hope
you've enjoyed this :)
