KPT Muted Swirl Background Tile

This is a very fun and easy tutorial that creates really cool tiles.  

You'll need PSP7, (you can d/l 30 day demo at www.jasc.com ), KPT5 (available thru www.corel.com) , and these 2 freebies, Filter Factory A, (get it HERE), and Simple Filter Quick Tile (get it HERE).

  1. Open any bright, high contrast image and make a copy of it (shift-D).   Close the original.  Resize your image to 200 X 200, choose smart size, maintain aspect ratio unchecked.

  2. Go to Effects/Filter FactoryA, Triangular mosaic, click OK.

  3. Now go to Effects/KPT5/Blur and apply the Spiral Weave as below:

  4. Pretty isnt' it?   Feel free to experiment with the settings in KPT...... you can come  up with some really cool variations.   Now to make it seamless......Ok,  go to Effects/Simple/Quick Tile and accept the default.  Click OK.

And that's it!  You've got your seamless tile, ready to go.
